I had a thought that we should limit the time you get on your chop - say 24 hours or whatever - and if you don't meet the deadline you go to the end of the line and the next person gets to go.

The challenge is if you are slow, no one else can get started because they need yours to build off of.

I think a time limit would really help this out.

maybe 48 hours. sometimes people aren't able to get on the computer everyday. But when people take over a week, I definately agree with the "end of the line" policy mentioned.

I don't think I agree with only 24-48 hours... we don't want the scroll to look rushed. Besides if someone has started and blended with an end, then is made to give that up to fit in somewhere else, won't it take that person that much longer having to start over?

However, to try to prevent a total blockade, I might agree with Mason. A week, I think is a good maximum to stay within. Some people only have time on certain days. A week will allow that person to get to have whatever day that might be.

Let's all just do our best to plan ahead, though. If it comes your turn, try to judge whether you will have time--barring the unexpected--to do it within a week. If not, pass your turn for now, and we will come back to you.
