some of us don't get votes every 5 minutes this is actually one of the improvements I like most of all.

Yesterday I got a comment on a image I made months ago, without that box, I would have never known this. And alltough I'm here at regular intervals in a day, I do not constantly check my votes on a running image. This box immediately warns me if there are new votes, and if there are not, I can spare me the trouble of looking up my entry and save me from another dissapointment seeing there are still no new votes (...sniff...).

I can get to my favorites easy enough via the portfolio link. Seems redundant to have that up there. just my 1/2 cent.

yeah, I think I agree with Showcase; I don't go to my 'favorites' nearly as often as I log out.

Hate to be a pain, but the recent winners..can those thumbnails kinda resize to a certain size? I know it'll distort them a tiny bit but they are just thumbs.
