A.Can flash files be made small enough.
B.You gotta be joking if you have something against Flash and not gifs.

I voted yes only because there were a few times when I thought I could animate something much better with Flash than an animated gif. At the same time, though, you have to draw the line somewhere, as grefix alluded to, so I can completely understand not allowing Flash here.

And you think people aren't already using dxf and obj models already?
Movie files wouldn't be needed since we would already have FLA.
The line was drawn against flash a long time ago. Either move into the future, or take PSc back to that point, get rid
of staged photographic shots, 3dmodels,and use of other peoples off site chops in chops, and make PSC...PSC again.

That may be the case in a composition, but the files themself are not used. The end result is still a jpg. That's a completely different perspective (I'm not against using models in a chop using any kind of 3d proggie) Smile

Anyway, flash shouldn't be used, merely for the fact that they are programmable. It's a completely different type of media.

Second reason why they not should be used: Gif and jpeg are standard file formats wich can be read by (almost) every browser. Flash (or swf files) requires a third party plugin, wich not every user has or is willing to install.

Look at those crazy numbers.
Century, can you add 'keep gifs'..'take away gifs'
to that poll? I wanna see what happens.

Just a few years ago, brokeback homosexuals couldn't walk the streets holding hands in safety in America, but today all that has changed...the same will happen for flash any time now.
