nice touch ups Marco.

And thats what I'm talking about! Still has some issues, (like the huge yellow lane marker) but every one seems to be more in the scene. As Emeril would have said, its Happy.

Now, if that was what was submitted, I prob would have gone and voted for you. Notice things like the signs in the background are out of your focus, as they should be. And elements such as the red bricks on the right side aren't SCREAMING "I'm not part of this source" at you anymore.

again, brilliant idea, just not brilliant execution.

anyway again LEARN from this!
Don't Quit, take your ball and go home.

BTW Marco HANDED me my arse in the second round last year,
http://photoshopcontest.com/tournament/view/472/display.html
I thought mine was so freakn brilliant, till everyone started pointing out what I so blindly could not see. I chalked it up to a learning experience, and grew as a photoshopper.

Look at it this way, doing this stuff is like having children, they may be bastards to everyone else, but in your eyes, they're little angels Wink

Cheers!

What is all this talk of 20 hours? You people sound like me now. Laughing

Patim, I never like to lose a chopper on this site, but the points made by deshone, marco, etc. are all valid. Mason's was actually one of my favorites of the round. I'm glad his entry that was just a cleanup was the best cleanup; he executed it beautifully and even if it is "easy" as Granulated said, it is extremely time consuming and difficult to make it look that good. Your entry had the aforementioned flaws (shadows, colors, etc), but another thing that you have to think of when you are putting in 20 hours is "Can people actually tell this took 20 hours/was a lot of work?" It's all hard to hear, but it's the truth and if you can take it as such and keep a level head about it, you will be better off in the end.

And no more voting and winning and all that crap!!! Everybody is a winner!!! Change the format of this site to positive comments only, including little smiley faces, rainbows, angels, cute kittens and the like.
Oh, and ban marco while you're at it.

Hey Patim, chin up bro. I felt that way last year when I lost the H2H with all the controversy surrounding it. It made me quit for a year and without advantage, I just didn't feel like chopping anymore. I, like you said wow H2H again, let me give it a shot. You do your best, and you let the voters decide. I stop trying to figure out how voting goes around here sometimes, people will vote for what they like. So don't take it too hard on yourself man. Don't quit just because of this, you're a better chopper then you think.

I wished I'd had my ass handed to me instead of loosing by 1 vote. Now that really sucks. Anyways... pull yourself together! Smile
