This is beautiful...

Watercolour and ink are my illustration tools of choice too so it's great to see other work in that vein! Smile

That would be a cool challenge.

Mel's done of series of wine labels, seen at http://gratefulpalateimports.com/wine/250.html
Scroll down a bit to view the Wine Label Collection pdf.

Now you have a good idea, Anna. Maybe we could have a wine bottle label challenge. The title & brand name would be part of the work and idea as well as the illustration/chop.

It could be presented as a flat artwork or placed on a bottle.

Anyone interested?

I am all for it - you can set it up, if you like, I am sure more people would have fun with it.

I've always loved looking at illustration...wish I'd seriously pursued it...anyway if you have discovered a fresh new talented illustrator, I'm hoping you'll post a link here.

This is Mel Kadel from L.A. just written up in a magazine I'm reading while at work.
What do you think?

@Chicken

Could it be that everybody has a personal taste?

Some people love all the things made by Disney artists, other people like crude sketchy work. Who is to say what is good or bad?

Ah...Eve asked for our personal opinion, giving us to say what is good or bad....

How about instead saying:

I like this, or I don't like this..... That says more about our taste - and it allows others to say what they think as well.

Saying something is BAD, means you know much better how to do things, and you think you are commander of taste. But, taste is like freedom of speach and knowing how to say things elegantly, everybody has his own.... language and taste.

Chicken, I appreciate your opinion. (Chicken doesn't mince words, Anna.) Laughing

Some ppl prefer hyper-realistic illustration. Kinda like that PS GURU who made the realistic train depot. While I appreciate the work that went into it, why not take a great photograph and save yourself all the time and energy?

When did I ever say it was bad?

Eve asked for an opinion, I gave it to her...I'm sure she appreciated the truth rather then a sugar coated lie...

oh...and go fuck yourself.
