I remember seeing the largest ravens I've ever seen there. Also, seeing Native Americans walking out in the middle of seemingly nowhere.

Sedona is a beautiful town and boasts spiritual vortexes.

The drive down from Sedona to Flagstaff is so green and lush, it makes one wonder if they're actually in a desert.

And Jerome, AZ is a very unique place. Very Happy

Whatever your design, I'd stay far away from the kitsch stereotypical Southwest look.

Ed Zachary!

The thought of the pastels and cattle skulls makes me wanna puke through my nose. Yuck

Unfortunately all the images people have conjured up are the same things I think of (canyons, deserts, scrub brush, Native American patterns, etc.). All stereotype southwest US stuff that, to me, is kitsch-y. Confused

I thought of a big hole in the ground that people seem to flock to in large numbers for some reason...just to stand there and say, "Ooooh...look at the really big hole."

A touristy place northeast of Phoenix called, "Pinnacle Pete's Patio" (or something like that) that served the most fantastic steaks, open air, on picnic tables.
