Brush dynamics don't work. Sad

Last time this happened simply restarting Photoshop did it. Tried that three times. Tried rebooting too. Crying or Very sad

My Wacom is basically a mouse right now. Confused

CRAPPIT! Mad

I've got no idea, but have you seen Cooliris yet? Laughing

Seriously though, have you tried re-installing the latest drivers from the Wacom site?

What is 'brush dynamics'? Question

Maybe I'm just showing my noobiness, but the only thing I see with my Wacom Bamboo and PS Elements is brush pressure effects. Is there more? Shocked

Doug

@tom: Yes. Just downloaded and installed the latest driver (Dec-2008). Rebooted and still nothing.

@Seel: same thing. When you go into brush properties in Photoshop (CS2 and CS3 that I know of anyway) there's all the "dynamics" (color, fade, etc.).

Just noticed that I'm not getting ANY softness to my brushes either:

No. Sad
I've now even shut off all wacom services and running programs. Plugged into another USB port and then rebooted. Still nothing from the wacom. Although I am getting softness settings with the mouse again. Just no effects from the pen pressure. Confused

Okay the brushes panel. Rolling Eyes Wink

I've used these settings hundreds of times. Both are set to pen pressure. But nada. Crying or Very sad

I'm gonna completely uninstall the drivers. Reboot. Install the latest driver and reboot. See if that helps.

What other programs would recognize the pen pressure? I've tried PS and MSPaint but there must be others I might have.

Odd.

On a whim I used the Wacom "Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility" and removed all preference files for all users (even though they were all default preferences).

Suddenly it decides to work again. OMGWTFBBQ!

Panic over. Anger and frustration still linger. But at least I can does stuff again. Cool

I'm glad you got it working. I wish I could have used your OMGWTFBBQ at the convenience store about twenty minutes ago. I went to the cashier with my stuff and happened to look down to discover a brochure display for this product:

A combination of the lighting and my tired eyes converted the text to "CAMEL ANUS". It was an OMGWTFBBQ moment. When I recovered from the serious effort it took to quell insane laughter, I explained my obvious discomfort to the clerk. He then apparently had an OMGWTFBBQ moment, too.

OMGWTFBBQ .

Camel Anus. That just made my entire night much better, and it wasn't even bad to begin with. Very Happy
