Hey, use whatever you want to use, just join in on the fun, and though photoshop looks complicated, you will evetually get used to it.
practice practice practice.. but until your ready, use what you like.

Sure. I started off with Paint Shop Pro, (actually I started with MS Paint, but I like to forget those days). Paint Shop Pro was easy to learn, but people kept saying how much better Photoshop was. When I got Photoshop, I found it too difficult to learn in 10 minutes and thought it was overrated. Eventually I got into Photoshop after watching a couple hours of tutorial videos. Then I got a job that required the use of Photoshop almost daily and that's when I really got to liking it. Now I can't understand how to use Paint Shop Pro, and will never care to. Laughing
