Well... I was super bright this morning and accidentally laid my hand palm down on the stove burner and burnt the sh** out of it. It's a bit hard using the mouse and such with the blisters and gauze but will try to get the chops out as I can.
Wish me luck!

Happy hump day =)

burns hurt!

I burned my hand a few years back in a grease fire. It's better now of course.

Get some of this.

Haha, my mom has my camera so can't take pics but if you really want some gory stuff here is some pics of my last accident 2 weeks ago at work =P and yes, I am accident prone, I have no idea why they allow me to use power tools! I managed to staple
my thumb when I was doing some upholstery =( The stapler runs off an air compressor so one leg went in all the way.

you probably have one of these plants or there is one near your house, break off a piece and massage the burn with the broken end, it is like a jelly glue, keep massaging for a few minutes.

it works wonders, works best if applied shortly after the burn occurred.

the name of the plant is Aloe vera:

LOL I ran the burn under cold water for a few minutes then slathered with aloe immediately after, and wrapped loosely in gauze. Considering the size of it, the blistering was less than expected. Mostly the skin is shiny, slick and kind of tight and hardened except where the blisters are. I also burned the finger prints off without those blistering, maybe I should rob a bank before they come back! hehe At least I can still type =)

It is much less painful today, thank goodness. Was able to come to work and actually get stuff done.

Tesore: No cages for me! I might get my head caught in the bars. (although a padded cell would probably help)

Thanks for the well wishes all, everyone here just shakes their heads and laugh at me asking "Now what did you do to yourself?!" Even the accident prone need a little sympathy. Laughing

I vote that you are all woman!!! Seriously, you took a staple from a staple gun to the finger, leave it in and go home, have the presence of mind to snap a photo, savagely rip the staple out, and then still have the presence of mind to take yet another photo. Shocked
Right when that thing went into my finger I would have screamed like a little girl and ripped it right out and then probably passed out! Laughing Laughing

I didnt go home, but I did have to take a few minutes to get up the nerve to get the pliers and pull it out. I was working alone that day, usually there is someone else there to pull out nails, needles, pins and big splinters from my appendages.
So while I waited, I thought a photo was in order =)
