We are complaining about 70 degree sunny days here in So Cal, it's just not warm enough for us to go to the beach.
We really do want snow and sleet and frozen mailmen on their appointed rounds. (NOT!!!!!!)

Spring is here, right! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I usually try to vote and participate regularly, but this weather gave me an upper respiratory infection. Hopefully when I get back to my old self again, I'll be back to chopping with the rest of you.

this is the storm we got on the 1st & 2nd of Feb.
It dumped anywhere between 20 and 28 inches of snow on the Chicagoland area.
I was lucky enough to get about 22 inches of the white stuff at my place.

We also had Jim Cantore in town for the Blizzard. You know you're in for it when he shows up. He got to witness something called Thundersnow.
If you live in the Midwest, its something you get to witness about once a year.

anyway here are some before and afters of the storm.
before

after

backyard before

after

my driveway had 3foot drifts, my neighbor next door had nearly 7foot drifts.

Theres supposed to be a 2way street in between my drive and the neighbors here.

me finding my sidewalk on the way up to my front porch.

all in all about 6 hrs of shoveling, and then they wanted us all back to work the next day! Laughing
I was amazed how quickly Chicago recovered from 2 feet of snow.
I laugh when I see cities crippled if they get a few inches.

28" of the white stuff is far from the dusting we got of about 8" of snow.

Take care when you shovel we don't need you to get a heart attack.

Thankfully I'm already done with all the shoveling.

Before Thanksgiving I started doing cardio and workout everyday because of my cholesterol. So it wasn't so bad.

Besides I can't afford to have a heart attack.
My insurance would never cover it! Laughing
