When I look at the file in Windows Explorer, the file size is reported as 505 kb. When I load the GIF in Jasc Animation shop, then run the optimizer, the original file size is reported to be 505 kb.

The GIF is a bit too big. You can get it smaller by using the white border technique. You have only three frames, so it should be easy.

Strike that--I had to check the restrictions. I was thinking 500 not 512.

What browser are you using?

That's the problem. Dimensions are too big. Resize to 500 x 375.

YAYYYy!! it worked, thank you so much, so I can only guess now that gif's can't be as large as the original art that I upload on here, I just have to remember that with my next one. Thank you so much!!

Isn't the limit 1280 x 960?
as a matter a fact it is exactly scaled down to 1024 x 768 from 1280 x 960
so it would help to just resize image size to say 1023 x 767 (by some logic)

This is what I thought too. I didn't realize there is a huge difference between what is allowed with jpg's vs gif's and I didn't know. As soon as I changed the size from what it was to 500 x 375 then it uploaded perfectly! My gif is only 3 slides too so that isn't a lot of room to make them

Animated GIFs must be less than 550 wide by 450 high (maximum size),more than 500 width x 350 height (minimum size) and less than 512 kb.for advantage 125 kb. for non-advantage in weight. That's it Smile
