I usually wait until the last day to vote. I watch the contest and go through the pictures until the day it ends. A lot of good chops are posted late. Once in while I will vote on the first day but just for a few.

The Reunion contest...

I woulda thought if there was one time to save your votes till day 3 - then this was it. Lot's of "ran out of votes Sad" messages there. This was the one time when 25 votes were never going to be enough, so needed to be given sparingly. Premature I tells ya! You got too excited and blew your load too early!

I haven't cast even 1 vote yet (see how good I am!? I know how to satify a 3 day contest like a REAL man), so send me your vote-whoring messages now! Smile

Haha! Same here - I've managed so far to only spill a couple of votes Razz so I've still got plenty to come...

*ahem*

Seriously though, as has been said on another thread too, this is one contest where 25 votes probably WON'T be enough to give some recognition to every entry you want to.

I also think that the comment in YOUR vote is quite fitting with the innuendos you and HTUK are throwing around here. I dont know...perhaps you two should consider getting a room and getting on with it?? its really quite embarassing at times...

care to give us the REAL story now Mr Im so Wonderful?!! I'll be keeping my eye on you PAL!!

Very Happy Nice try, Showcase - amateur sleuth. BUT...at time of writing, my statement was correct.

In fact, I have placed 2 votes (NOTE - THIS STATEMENT IS ONLY CURRENT AT TIME OF WRITING)

I should admit, since we're being honest here, that I placed both votes before day 3, which I said I would not do... but I was overcome with sympathy for a good entry that was posted late due to technical difficulties... and the other you mention was also a late-ish post that I knew I would have to vote for anyway (it was just too damn good).

Well no it doesn't. That's either 2 guys talkin' dirty in a macho locker-room kinda way or a couple of curious/confused individuals exploring their sexuality.

Either way, it's a topic for another thread. Surely you moderators are here to keep things on-topic, right?

About the Reunion Contest Again...

I got a couple PM's on this, so thought I should explain. On a lot of (what I considered) good entries, I made some nice comments ending with the phrase "I'll come back on day 3"... and sure enough I did, but that didn't necessarily mean I ended up voting for that entry.

The purpose of the "I'll come back on day 3" comment was for 2 things:
1) to show my support for an entry, and I said what was good about it to draw people's attention to what I thought were the best qualities.
2) to encourage people - by example - to save their votes for day 3 (So many people were voting so early - effectively ignoring entries that come in a little later, and that's a shame).

In this contest, with 108 entries and 25 votes, it meant you had to be better than just good to get a vote, you had to be better than 77% of the field. I any other contest you may only need to be better than 50%. The "I'll come back on day 3" comment was never an "IOU" guarantee of a vote, but it meant I thought it was vote-worthy. You know?

Oi, oi, OI! Leave me out of this!

It's all the product of Fugue's sordid mind. Coarse and rough as the outback these Aussies are. Not like us refined and sophisticated Britons.

*ahem*
