Can anyone tell me how to remove powerlines from an image other than the clone tool. I tried but it is not coming out clean,

Thank you, everyone... I will try these tips and let you know how it all works all. I am real new to Photoshop, and photo editing in general.

Clone/heal brushes are your best bet. They'll come out clean if you work at it.

People with good eyes and a talented hand have been known to paint background back in pixel by pixel with a brush though.

As above, but work small little by little, and if it stands out as a clone use contrast and bright to tone up or down.

The healing brush worked on the sky great, but not on the sun in the photo any suggestions.

I have never used the patch tool but it worked. It took me a long time to finish the photo but I did.

sometimes the patching up is more work than replacing the old sky with a new clean sky. half the time i replace it.

I love removing tiny details like that. What everyone already said is the truth, but yeah, lets see the photos, if you'd like to share

The pictures aren't mine I was fixing them for a friend.

I tried to replace the sky but it didn't look good with the sun.

still it would really help to see the images if you could give us links to them, stick them up on a photo hosting site like:
