I think he would liked us to move on more then ever. His death as brought us closer together and should not be set aside. Splodge was a very strong man here and its time we do the same by doing what we loved best. Please put aside any bad feelings and lets make this the best comp ever!
Carry on and keep his spirit alive!

I can't speak for Splodge, but I can speak for what I E-knew about him. PSC was important to him, and he loved any "site events" that went on that were out of the ordinary, and above and beyond daily operations.
To cancel this event, in my opinion, would piss him off.
Move forward and we'll get an official contest up to honor him, many site members aren't yet aware of his passing.

I thought a "same digit date" meant the month, day and year were all the same digit. If not.... what's a "same digit date" then?

Wait. Is same digit where the digits for the month, day and year each add up to the same date as the year?
0+9 = 9
