Hello everyone. My name is Marie and I just recently found this site and hope to be a part of the great photoshop wizards I see here. I was looking at one contest called Resting Captives. I noticed several pictures that underneath were the same but just edited differently by different folks. Are we allowed to use a persons original image and edit it in our way to upload to the contest?
Thanks Bunches................

I travel to the place the original photo was taken and then change something in the scene, and then take my own photo, so that it "looks like" it was edited. Everyone is different, so i guess you can do it the way you want. Razz

Wow let me point this out first... you just joined and you already have advantage? it seems odd that someone will just spend cash on advantage without actually trying it first.

Anyways, welcome.

Uh yup. That's the way the site functions. Each daily contest starts with the "source image". You chop (manipulate, photoshop, whatever phrase you use) and then upload your resultant file for peer review and voting.

Das it.

The site's premise should really be clarified in the FAQ but it's not.

Good point.
It USED to be on the front page, but it got lost in the redesign.

Anyhow, pay attention to Tofu. He's steering you in the right direction.
