Since my name was draged into these discussions without my will i think it's fair to share my point of view.
The main reason for Bogo's reaction was never the fact that "a friend, relative etc.it's losing against a "pig ass".PLS UNDERSTAND this once and for all.Now that i've lost i could say that the reason for your votes it's in fact a fear that a newcomer could win against a friend of yours, but it's not fair so i prefer to congratulate Granulated for his win instead.
I wanna make one thing clear:i'm here to learn from the best,to progress and to give my best .If that's not enough to win a contest then it's ok with me.As long as i learn something useful with every entry that i'm uploading I don't care if i'm winning or not.
Thanks for all your votes an have a nice day!!!

I don't think this has anything to do with friend-votes... sometimes the humour wins... There was a lot of emotions and sadness lately and we are just humans... and then this kind of things happens. See it just as an reaction of all this... Your day will come... chop chop chop!

I agree with Tes. Just so you know...
We tend to get pretty excited around here when a 'newcomer' wins a contest...
so I'm pretty sure it has NOTHING to do with that.

I think it's foolish to ignore friend and popularity votes, especially on this site, because it really is a factor, all pigs' asses aside.

Rolling Eyes Here we go again... Its like a freakin broken record!

Regardless if I'm friendly or not with someone is not important.

It boils down to this... If you do a good job, give us a wow factor OR make us laugh, the votes WILL come.

Just cause I like you, does not mean an automatic vote from me.
On the flip side, just cause I dislike you doesn't mean you wont get a vote for doing good work.
Never let your pride get in the way of paying attention to details, because you may have missed something blatant.

I'm not going to say no one friend votes or vote trades, cause yes, OK it happens.
That is mostly a new people on this site trend. Most of the old timers couldn't care less, myself included.

there have been plenty of times Granulated or anyone that's been here for a while (that I'm friends with) has done something I didn't care for. Guess what, they didn't get that vote from me. Shocked OMG! THE WORLD ENDS!

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this statement...

ART IS SUBJECTIVE!!!
Just cause you think something is 'utterly brilliant' may not mean I think it is.

Now don't make me pull out the dead horse and start beating on it....

In that case... I have a lot of friends here I didn't know off. And NO, and I'm not a chatter and I don't pay people to vote for me.
So i'm a fool, but a happy one (who votes for whatever I like) Wink
