Hi,

Now that I've posted 10 entries myself, I can start voting too Very Happy .

I was wondering, is it common to use all 25 votes ? For the moment I spend sometimes only 3 votes... Confused

Thanks for sharing !

and it would mean of course, that I'd sometimes have to vote for designs I don't like... there aren't always more than 25 entries...
How many votes do you use mediocre ?

Only vote for what you like. If you like 25 vote for 25, if you only like 3 vote for 3.

Don't vote for things you don't like just to use the votes...

I'm new to voting too. I tend to only use the votes on entries that I really like. If I'm not keen on one then I pass on it (after I've clicked big to check it doesn't look better big).

Just remember that you don't need to feel obliged to vote on someones entry because they've voted for you or anything, it's all personal choice & taste Very Happy

MH Very Happy

i sometimes dont vote at all Smile

joking!!!

Actually, whenever i submit a chop in a comp, i make sure to vote for other entries in that same chop. That's only fair. So if you guys and girls dont see me voting all the time, it's cos my 2 year old is trying to poke my 2 month old's eyes out and i'm busy stopping that...

It would be nice to have some sort of Advantage benefit of being able to vote twice for a particular chop... or take some votes that your own chop has aquired and use them as credits to buy double voting rights or something.... ?

Recently, in general, that was actually true. It´s gotten a bit better these days Smile
P.s: If you submit a chop in a comp, you shouldn´t vote for the oponent because its what people expect you to do, you should vote for them if you like their entry. And if you don´t vote it´s undertandable, just don´t get so caught up with winning that you miss on voting for a good entry.. Wink

i tend to think that if you use all 25 votes, it decreases the impact of your votes, so to me it seems pretty pointless to use all 25 votes... or am i wrong here?

meh. atlantixx, its all preference.

I hardly ever use more than 10-15 in a competition.
But in this comp, I used all 25.
http://photoshopcontest.com/photoshop-contest/3003/cannon.html?l=all&o=votes

guess it just depends on the competition and how many really good entries you think there are.

and yes, for the love of Pete, don't just vote for someone cause they voted for you. That decreases the impact of your votes more than anything.

Since art is subjective, you should vote for what you like. It is really that simple.

I couldn't have said it better! ART IS SUBJECTIVE! What you like you like! If you think it deserves a vote then vote for it! If for some or any reason you don't think it does, pass it up! Wink
