I looked everywhere on line for a tutorial about it but couldnt find any!!
Can you help me??? It's for my sister's wedding, I am trying to make her a monogram!

well the way varies due to several factors.. font size, shape, actual shape of the oval.. height, width etc.. hence the lack of tutorials..

are you wanting it basically like the second one, font shape and all?

I mean i could always do one for ya reasonably, or make a tutorial , but the tut would be a while in the making. I just finished a nice 10 hour tut up last night...

I made the text, then rounded it as much as possible with advanced text panel, then drew the oval, warped the text to fit it, filled in the bits that would not fit perfectly by hand.
then I cut around the outside for any protruding text.. Use layers.. I used 5 layers

its not exactly the hardest thing.. but if your totally new to PS, it can be a pain.

Tell your sister congrats, and when is the wedding?

What's the logo for? If you need it scalable then arcaico's definitely right. Illustrator (or a like program).

Some links from an old thread of mine.
Quote:
Vector/Illustrating Software
Freehand MX (Trial version) - Formerly by Macromedia and now by Adobe
Illustrator - Adobe's premier vector drawing program
InkScape - Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Thanks SCWIDVICIOUS !

I am not totally new to Photoshop, I already know how to do some things ... I can follow instructions pretty well , if you tell me how you did that second one exactly as it is I am pretty sure I can modify it ... I actually need the oval long more than wide Smile like this () Smile

Thanks!!!!

The wedding is in June ! Smile Thanks!

I dont think you understood what I need ....
I simply need something like this: www . kaboodle. com / hi/ img/ 2/0/ 0/ 11f/ d/ AAAAAqaIKL4AAAAAAR_edw .jpg
(remove the spaces to see the image)
with the letters MSM
I don't really care about the texture, it can be basic, I can change that ... I just need this concept but I dont know how to achieve it.
