Subtle pictures are usually interesting, and occasionally good ones draw very few votes either because the subtlety goes unnoticed or is noticed but not understood. For example, I submitted this subtle
project sometime ago and received only three votes. Now maybe this "chop" lacked credibility, even though the idea behind it was clever. I guess my question is:When is subtle too subtle?

http://img35.exs.cx/img35/5201/Zipper-Open-and-closed.gif

Thanks so much Irish Stu- Ironically, I do use Image Shack, and I tried using the address they assign after I uploaded the picture to their site. When I posted the URL in this topic box, the URL and not the picture posted. Where did I go wrong? Incidentally, I very much appreciated your generous and kind comments on the "Zipper" post......

After viewing your "No cycling" post, and considering how I have viewed some of my attempts before family members viewed them,
I am quick to support your point of view..Sometimes what I think is absolutely without doubt in a picture turns out to be lost on everybody else who views it. It is so easy to project my view of the world and believe that everyone else in the universe sees it the same way...The real world is obviously much more unique and diverse than any of our individual points of view want and/or allow it to be...

Nancers-
I enjoyed both of your "subtles" .... How the level of subtlety impacts a voters voting consciousness would be another topic for discussion....
