Welcome to the (new) Simpsons thread.
Post you favourite quotes, pics, episodes, or whatever.
Ask questions.
Whatever you want.
Just don't say you prefer Southpark (though it's also very good).

Just to start this off....

My favourite episode is the Radioactive Man one, for oh so many reasons.
One of my favourite quotes is " My eyes! The goggles do nothing!", taken from this scene...

Anyone else?

From the Treehouse of Horror "Vampire" episode:

Grandpa: Quick! We have to kill the boy!
Marge: How do you know he's a vampire?
Grandpa: He's a vampire?? Aaah! (runs away)

Since I'm the parent of a challenging little boy, that quote really makes me giggle.

From my 11-year-old son, who is a HUGE Simpsons fan:

Moe: "I'm a well-wisher, in that I don't wish you any specific harm."

Next, aliens kidnap the Simpsons, and invite them to a 'great feast' on Rigel 4 in “Hungry Are the Damned”. Finally, James Earl Jones narrates Edgar Allen Poe's classic tale starring the Simpsons. This version stays very close to the original poem in “The Raven.”

8 The Springfield Files (#3G01) 12 Jan 1997
Homer witnesses something out of this world in Springfield woods, but no one believes him, not even FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (from The X-Files), who came to investigate the incident. Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and Leonard Nimoy guest star.

9 Lisa the Simpson (#4F24 / SI-824) * 08 Mar 1998

But when the resulting grade raises the school's state average and qualifies it for financial aid, the intendance forces her to cover up all wrong- doing. Meanwhile, Homer raises a baby lobster to beat the high store prices of adults.

11 Take My Wife, Sleaze (#BABF05 / SI-1105) 28 Nov 1999
Homer and Marge win a motorcycle in a dance contest. Homer decides to form his own motorcycle gang called "Hell's Satans". But there's just one problem - the name is already taken, and when the two gangs encounter one another, trouble ensues. Guest stars NRBQ, John Goodman as Meathook, Henry Winkler as Ramrod, and Jay North as himself.
"marge is not a doobie to be passed around"

12
(#BABF22 / SI-1122)
07 Jan 2001

13
The Blunder Years (#CABF21 / SI-1221) 9 Dec 2001
A restaurant hypnotist causes Homer to relive a traumatic childhood experience where, upon swimming in a quarry, he found a dead body. That dead body turned out to be Waylon Smithers' father, Waylon Sr., who had disappeared twenty-five years earlier under suspicious circumstances. Meanwhile, Marge fancies Chad Sexington, the man who appears on the packaging of Burly paper towels. Guest stars Paul Newman, Judith Owen, and Joe Mantegna.

14 Large Marge (#DABF18 / SI-1318) 24 Nov 2002
Marge mistakenly thinks Homer is eyeing other women. In an effort to uplift her appeal, she decides to get plastic surgery to look younger. But the surgery goes awry when Marge receives breast implants that were meant for a younger patient. Meanwhile, Bart and Milhouse catch an episode of Batman where Batman and Robin battle Clown Man -- who happens to look a lot like Krusty. Guest stars Adam West, Burt Ward, Susan Yezzi, Jan Hooks, and the Baha Men.

15 Simple Simpson (#FABF15 / SI-1515) 2 May 2004
Homer splurges on pork products after being inspired by a Willy Wonka-like contest where the winner of a golden ticket gets to visit Farmer Billy's Bacon Factory. A consolation prize wins him a chance to judge a pig contest at the county fair. Lisa enters a pig in the contest but fails to win, making Homer feel like she has been hard done by. Homer takes on the identity of the "Pie Man" to avenge this injustice by throwing pies in the face of those who persecute, and he soon avenges other injustices in a similar fashion, a practice that goes too far whenever Mr. Burns asks him to hit the Dalai Lama. Guest stars Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura from Star Trek) as herself.

16 All's Fair In Oven War (#FABF20 / SI-1520) 14 Nov 2004
When Marge sees the kitchen in the house next door and notices that her own kitchen is falling apart, she wants it redesigned; "two years (and an unsuccessful attempt by Homer which resulted in a stack of old Playdude magazines being uncovered) later," her new kitched prompts her to cook something for the church which turns out to be a big hit. Ned suggests that she enter the Ovenfresh Bake-off, which she does with a dessert that looks like hot dogs. Unfortuantely, her dessert dogs are sabotaged in the middle of the competition; however, she manages to salvage them and, finding herself all alone in the room with the other contestants' dishes, adds an extra ingredient to them - Maggie's ear drops. One small problem: Lisa saw her do it. Will Lisa convince Marge to do the right thing before the next day's bake-off finals, or will Marge - oh, who am I kidding, this is Lisa and Marge we're talking about; Marge confesses and withdraws, making Brandine the winner and the new face on the Ovenfresh logo, prompting her to run off with James Caan, at least before he succumbs to an (ahem) "accident" at a tool booth.
Meahwhile, remember those Playdude magazines? Bart and Milhouse find them (minus the nudes, which Marge cut out) and think that they can start acting like the bachelors depicted in the articles, complete with turning the treehouse into a bachelor pad (with a pre-"accident" James Caan in attendance). When the other parents tell Homer what has happened, he has the solution: explain to Bart what swinging bachelors, er, "do".

from the who shot mr. burns episode

as he stomps on a model of springfield...
mr burns taunts
"take this bowl-a-rama!
Take this qwik-e-mart
take this nuclear power plant....(sighs) oh fiddlesticks"

I also love the episode where Burns wants to make a coat out of some puppies and he busts out into a song parody of be our guest, entitled "see my vest" I'll spare you all the full lyrics but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen

I won't berate you with what I know of the Simpsons. I have downloaded every single episode through Season 14 and have them on cd and have seen every episode through Season 14 a bare minimum of 3 times. Most older episodes I have seen at least 10 times.

Top 5 Fave eps of all time:

1. Duffless
2. Bart Gets an Elephant
3. Lisa The Vegetarian
4. Homer Goes To College
5. Homer's Triple Bypass

One memorable moment off the top of my head:

From the episode where Lisa has a crush on Nelson (Lisa's Date With Density):
Lisa asks Milhouse to give Nelson a note saying that she likes him, however the note is anonymous. Milhouse agrees and passes the note forward in class. The children in the row pass it forward and Nelson gets it and reads it. He immediately turns his headback down the row where you see Milhouse raising his eyebrows in a sign of accomplishment and Nelson obviously thinks the note is from Milhouse. Immediately the show cuts to another scene where they are wheeling Milhouse out of the school on a stretcher and Lisa runs up and says, "Milhouse! I'm so sorry." The paramedic replies, "He can't hear you ma'am, we had to pack his ears with gauze."

That would be one of my top 10 favorite impact humor moments from the Simpsons.

King of the Hill and Daria are the 2 best animated shows ever made..along with a British BBC show called I am not an Animal....not to say The Simpsons don't have their place in entertainment(along with,oh, say..tractor pulls and "professional" wrestling)--my fav Simpsons quote is when a lamb chop Lisa's about to eat starts talking to her and says something like.."don't eat me..i thought you loved me.."..anyway i think that was about how it went Laughing funnier than Jeff Foxworthy..i tell you what!
