I realize you all love squirrels, and to each his own, but for the public record, I will no longer vote for images containing squirrels, just as I do not vote for cleavage or chicks in thongs...regardless of whether or not they were created in Photoshop, MS Paint or Photoshop Elements.

For what it's worth, I used Photoshop Elements for the first 6 months or so of my membership here. Quite frankly, as a beginner, it was the perfect way to "get my feet wet" without being overwhelmed. The transition to PS7 went quite smoothly for me after I used PS Elements.

I don't think anyone cares, really. If they do, why?

OF COURSE PEOPLE CARE! They are SQUIRRELS! They are cute and fuzzy and live in the same places we live and they have nuts and they hide nuts and ARE nuts. Nancers, how can you be so SHALLOW and UnCARING of our tree-hopping, hydro-cable-running friends!?

And trying to deflect the issue here onto some 2nd rate bitmap editing software is NOT like you! I thought you were different. I thought you could overcome the flurry of childhood tramaus that threatened to make you into a bitter old fossil of your former self! Oh Oh OH SAD SAD DAY.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. It appears in a random act of violence, the PSC squirrel is now dead. Bystanders claim that they heard shots fired at approximately 8:35 this evening. When they ran toward where the shots were fired, what they found was the mangled body of the PSC squirrel.

It's not apparent who is responsible for this heinous crime at this time, , but authorities are following up on all leads.

Was this an act of revenge from those who were jealous of the squirrel's recent attention on the Contest site? Or was this just the beginning of a spree to rid the world of all that is cute and fuzzy?!

We'll know more in the coming days as this investigation continues...
