There's a complicated back story to that one...but that's another show.

Your literary devices and word pictures are powerful.

Reading each stanza is like taking a rollercoaster ride with the unpredictable twists and turns of love, loss, acceptance, and forgiveness.

I realize there's a complicated back story but would I be far off the mark in assuming it was written about a Chia Pet® ?

I too recall experiencing the same emotional thrill ride soon after purchasing my first.

oh thanks, Eve!

and now I have a little poem for you

...a little poem called "Sticks and Stones"

Sticks and Stones

Sticks.

once full of life.

now decaying limbs.

rough.

fragile.

sad.

much like
Stones.

that are

Mick

Jagger.

Keith

Richards.

and so on.

--------------------

Eve, I hope you remember that poem the next time you feel like calling someone a name.

Yep, I wandered back for the tourney. Smile I haven't been chopping lately--I've been focusing more on drawing and got a little sidetracked.

Maybe I need a screwdriver of time extension, or something. Laughing

I actually just got back from a week in Mexico, working at an orphanage with my kid and his classmates. It was.. really pretty yucky.
