ROCK ON Chop Chick!!!! Do I hear an Amen from Eve on this? Wink

how about another amen Kansas and EJH? Amen to the " or "she" " part

from a relatively new person's point of view, I'm glad that there are still traditional contests, I like getting to know the artists and enjoy reading all the comments on other posts. Someone up above said that reading all vote comments and other comments after the contest is over loses the energy. Particularly important for me is when you all exchange image-making critiques mid-image with each other. Love to see what "needs fixing" and just how the fixing gets done. Its all just more alive for me when I can see all-more immediate and more fun if it's during contest.

Still I can see there's a place for the anonymous contest, just glad its not the only format, or even the most common format.

I think it's fine the way it is. If you know how many votes the leader has, it will cause a reaction; probably not a positive one if it isn't "you." Best to keep it totally anonymous...no names, no vote counter. Wait out the 3 days, check on the most recent ones (located at the bottom, as usual) and be surprised!

my 2 cents

I've never done a poll before.. What a cool thing to find out the pulse of a community...

And isn't that cool... You can see the votes imediately and it's anonymous.

What a concept! Bawhahahahahaha

the only change i'd like to see to this is showing either the number of votes for the current leader, or the total number of votes cast for the contest

I like the idea of total votes myself but I agree with either one

All competitions must be anonymous, cause people can be influenced by the name of the author.

true Nifft, but sadly--the other way around has a whole other set of equally distressing problems. At least this way we can have a community feel during most contest.
There just is no absolutely perfect system, though I think many of us truly wish there was. :}
(likewise, quite a few would hate that Razz)

I can only speak for myself... but with the site changes and sooooooo many entires now I do sometimes miss some great entries.

If you participated in this site fully it almost can replace a fulltime job. I know I've clocked in a 40 hour week here plenty of times.

I do however want to say that I was glad that you said soemthing because it lead me to look at your portfolio.

I enjoyed your work. I hope you keep posting. Not sure if you have advantage, but if you get that you can post eariler in the competition and that will allow more people to get to know you and your work.

Have a good time and allow me to welcome you to PCS! Wink
