IMHO...THe best way to gauge how good you are compared to others is get Advantage and don't vote, then you won't get the friendly votes and only those that you truly deserve. If your ego won't allow for this and you can make the time to vote then get advantage and vote and you will do well with the friendly votes... Smile Personally I get choppers block from looking at all the entries plus 30 days of sources

I wish all contests were anon to avoid the friendly voting problems I have alot of Chop friends that will not play here because of the voting Sad

Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

Hmm the best word to describe the voting system on PSC...

Cohersion. (coercion jus for bad cop... and next time read the disclaimer at the bottom of my post Razz)

you dont vote because you like the post, you vote so people will like yours...

Shocked

fixing the problems with psc is as simple as...

Making a DEADLINE HAND IN DATE
when the entry deadline has finished...

the voting begins for 3 days... no names are mentioned...

This ensures that voting is not rigged as being open for poll by X amount of extra days... earlier than some guy who applied 2 minutes before vote counting time with a masterpeice beyond comparisin. at least that way exposure time is controlled.

Marx,

When narrowing a concept down to a single word, it's vital that the word you choose actually exists.

Unfortunately, "cohersion" does not.

It's possible that you meant collusion or coercion, though neither of those completely apply to your description.

Try to be a little more respotable next time.

I think Marked Man meant Cohesion; the state or condition of joining or working together to form a united whole, or the tendency to do this Very Happy
I know, he's an easy target, and not on the recieving end of the vote system either Surprised

Did he say 'Bad Chop Day?"

I still say we have to have "Bad Chop Day, whoever gets 0 votes 0 comments wins, and if you're a newbie, you might have an extra good chance of winning, this would finally put the disadvantage to the advantaged, Scion was supposed to lead this a while back... Laughing
Anyway, name the date, lets do 'Bad Chop Day" Shocked what's this?

Marco? will you help? Laughing Shocked I got it! Very Happy we can use that fookin #26 with the cracked asphalt! it keeps coming up like the sore on your lip, so whenever it's chosen, (next month) it's Bad Chop Day ! Very Happy

the " #26 cracked asphalt " picture is up today (what a surprise!) but it needs just 5 little votes to make it in....so? Rolling Eyes but if it does "not" win, you can vote on it tomorrow...or the next day, or until it wins, whatever Laughing

Is it TRUE!?

Are there still Voting Concerns here? Shocked

DAMN!

I'll have to wait ANOTHER 4 months before I think of posting again. I will ONLY enter into the contests again once I am ABSOLUTELY GUARRENTEED that I will receive fair and unbiased appraisal of my usually interesting and funny photoshop expertise.

The rest of you, including all you Nubes, please enjoy the resultant CHAOS.

Smile

Paul When the prize contests first started someone did suggested the the prize (PS tutorials)should go to the person with the least amount of votes because they needed to improve their skills not the winner.... Shocked Laughing

Voting is an issue on all sites and it is all suppose to be in fun.I only noticed the drop in friendly votes after I got slammed at work (still slammed) and did not have the time to vote like I had been doing oh well nothing is perfect Smile
