I agree that lifetime advantage is a bigger prize than the cash.....but for those who have lifetime advantage already, there's not much to work for other than bragging rights......which is probably the biggest thing about the tourney anyway

you really don't want the lifetime advantage anyway.

once you get one... you disappear from the competitions!

As for transferring the lifetimes I can see why that wouldn't be desirable. People could simply buy it from the winner to get them to give them the lifetime. Now if it went up for an auction like we did when blurker got his lifetime that would be awesome.

Um did not get my life time then Hax out bided me...I was offered a life time by Proc for services rendered so to speak, damn you Hax I still hurt over that action.

Forgot about Hax's bidding vendetta. See blue? You're so much nicer that you getting lifetime was all I could remember from back then. Laughing

Round 1 themes:
Mice, Cleanups (some great, some poor) and BP Oil Spills

I started a clean up, but it was going terribly. Glad I didn't do it, because some of the clean up images were really spot on and I would have been embarrassed at my non-skills.

Im leaving comments on every entry...regardless if the other entry was a no-show I still leave a comment on the winners work.

The comments aren't as long as Marco's but I think I leave about 20-40 words per vote...and I comment on both entries.

Sean, $5 entry fee H2H. You probably won't get 128 entrants IMO. If you did, that's $640. $5 isn't much. I'd do it just so I could be in the tournament. I know I wouldn't win it, but I wouldn't want to miss being able to participate in it. If the grand prize is too big, voting becomes suspect in regards to friends, family members, and aliases signing up for PSC, entering 10 poor chops, and helping a brother out with some votes.

How about a small bonus. If you want to participate in the tournament, you pay a $10 deposit. You'll get your money back after finishing whatever round you completed and were either eliminated, or won the entire thing. But if you No-Show to any of the rounds, your opponent gets your $10.

Not everyone has the expertise or time to critique. I think for those who have not much to say, they should rate the images on a five star scale. For Example:
"I like this image. I give it 4 stars. The other image is 3 stars."

or even quicker,
"4-3"

I like this idea Smile
I don't have time to comment on everything (wish I did) but above idea gives a simple yet quick way of giving feedback, doesn't it?

BTW there was one pair where I thought both images were really good but I didn't leave a comment on the one I didn't vote for at the time, so later when I went back I found I coun'dn't leave a comment as I had already voted! is there any particular reason for that?
