Rest in peace, Frank.

He truly was the best at what he did. What a career!

agreed,

Respect to Frank Frazetta, for the sheer style and creative illustrative, yet realistic art he created is a dying art, of which he was the king of.

R.I.P.

Also one of my favorites. I grew up reading Edgar Rice Burroughs paperbacks with Frazetta cover illustrations. He later did a few for the Science Fiction Book Club. He was one reason I became an avid National Lampoon reader when I was a teenager. His alien crucifixion on the June 1972 cover of the Lampoon was a thing of beauty. It caught my eye on the magazine rack at a local drug store:

This looks like a lousy scan to me. The Lampoon cover was much more green than purple. Oh well.
Frazetta was an imaginative and talented guy. He will be missed.

I'd like to suggest we pay homage to the great man here on PSC, by some of us doing a pimp collage job with some of his fantastic creations.

A Sort of fuzzy-felt mismash of some of his great SF works.

Now there's a challenge for any of you wannabee SF Illustrators out there! Wink
