How did you get your PSC nickname?
Entire family and all friends call me dot.. it's short for Dorothy

What is your real name and age?
As i said.. my name is Dorothy .. i was born october 7th 1984

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
I'm from Belgium (knokke-heist, flanders). Best part is the nice chocolat :)

What do you do to keep the bills paid?

What do you do in your spare time?
usually just hang out at home..with psc chat open..tv on...ya know..doing absolutely nothing

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
My ex-boyfriend grefix was on psc when i met him.. when i got the internet i also joined. I like the people best.. some very nice and friendly characters around here.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
I wish everyone would use the same time zone as me

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
Never cook me a meal without running the menu by me... it's for your own good

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
Oh dear.. do i really have to count them? A LOT! let's keep it at that.. and 95 percent of that time is spent in advachat

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?
facebook, twitter ...

What tools do you use to chop?
I have CS3 extended on a Toshiba laptop with windows Vista .. i use my wacom tablet to chop

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
No ... idea... i just have to see the light

What inspires you?
euhm....

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
as messy as can be

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
i like creating something atmospheric

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
i'll pass on this one :/

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
euhm.. if i think it looks right ..i post..but usually i see the flaws when i posted..so many edits follow (before the contest starts)

What is the limit to what you will chop?
no offending stuff i guess..allthough with all these different cultures on psc it's sometimes difficult to know when you've crossed the line

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
tutorials... use them

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
nature and objects.. but i hate vehicle sources

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
as long as you can detect the source without having to search for 5 minutes it's fine by me

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
google and flickr .. allthough i should find some better places cause i loose most off my time searching for good outside sources

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
it just have to give you the WOW effect.. some chops may be very hard to do technical but just don't give you the OH DEAR GOD THAT'S TERRIFIC feeling.. like clean ups .. they may be hard to do..but they're so boring (no offence)

Do you have a system to get things started?
not really

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
yeah... it just didn't feel right

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
sometimes.. but only if i feel there's something not right or missing

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
depends if the fault is a big one or just an opinion one

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
it just has to give me the WOW effect as i said before

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
jig saw puzzle, cut up the pic in polaroids, where's the... ? etc.

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
hours!! about 4, 5 i think... sometimes more.. when you're not that experienced it takes more time to try and get it right

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
CONSTANT! lol i used to call gref from work to ask how much votes i had allready .. but i don't get all worked up when the votes don't come .. might have happened .. but usually not

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/126730/jungle-book-the-sequel.html this one .. i kinda liked it

What do you consider your best chop so far?
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/117310/ambush.html this one..looks very real.. lighting could be better but as i said..not so skiled

What do you consider your worst chop so far?
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/117540/the-last-shot.html prolly this one.. and all the ones from when i just started..

Who is your favorite chopper out there and why?
euhm... i'd say stevster

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
"sexy women" .. cause it's so tasteless..

What is the best chop of all time?
there's no such thing for me
