Nero 7 also works well with Vista, but you will need the Vista patch from there website.

I did realise that there was no way of selecting out the out of focus parts of the picture, it was the bit at the front i was after. I just wondered if there was an easier way of slecting out objects ...
have you tried using "extract" No i havent, not even sure where it is.

I've had a play with the levels and layer options to see if it helps, but like you say Dew it seems like i may have to draw the finer bits back it. Thanks for your reply
