I recently entered two major contests, but I did not make it. It was really fun to make these works. I will try harder next time:)

Here are the submitted works:
1. for Uniqlo Creative I submitted 2 designs:

2. Francisco Mantecón International Poster Design Competition:

For the second one, I knew I am not going to win because my entry was mainly artistic, it is not focused on advertising a brand. I am happy with what I did overall.

I just wanted to share my work with you. I think we should create a thread in which everyone entering a contest will ask for help. We can call it : the creative pool

Cheers

here is something interesting:
Win a MacPro & Dual 30” LCDs in Photoshop Contest at Crestock Stock Photos!

good luck to anyone who will participate:)

The t shirt designs are good in theory but in practise the printing area on a t shirt is restrictive. depends on the print method

the second one looks good but looks apparent you used bevel emboss even if you didnt it looks like it.

Nice stuff though

That site can have some cool contests.

I can't enter most of them though because I'm not 18. (stupid age limit)

guess i'm not "cool" enough to know what Uniqlo Creative is all about, but the T-shirts look fine to me.

Your vino image...while very interesting...is kinda repetitive using the same organic plant. It's totally your personal style and one I'm very fond of seeing. The ground and sky are good but lack interest. (Surly you could put some landscape in there?) Realizing that your intent is to promote the BRAND, the landscape can stay. Yes, you underplayed the product...but many are doing that lately. Understatement sells. Muster up a little more interest w/in that image and you might have something golden! Don't be afraid to crop it, angle it...Know who your market is!

*cheers Crowned* Cool

my 2 cents Very Happy

Thanks Sliver, Sassy, and Marco.
FF thanks for the link.
Eve, good points, I will mind them next time.

Marx-man:
I followed the template they put on their website to make the t-shirt designs. Good points overall, I really appreciate it.

Here is the list of 2006 finalist:
http://www.franciscomantecon.com/2006/ing/finalistas2006.html

Concerning the Uniqlo creative, there are 28 finalists, 26 are from japan (their names sounds so).

Ha!
Their jaws must hurt then...

I think that many competition are there for self promotion. It is a good publicity used to win the heart of youth.
Among the 35 finalists, I think there are 5 Wonderful designs.

That is why psc rocks. People's power.
