Well, since I consider some of you here as friends, I thought I would tell you my terrible day today. I was driving on the thruway to take my car to the shop to get regular maintenance. As I was driving I hit a drift of snow that was on the road (about 3 inches deep) and lost control of my car and went into a ditch (about 3 ft of snow covering the ditch). The state police came and told me I had to vacate my car because it was hazardous to stay there and when the traffic slowed down they would tow me out. They drove me home after that. A few hours later I got a call from the state police and they told me my car was hit by another driver. My friend drove me up to where my car was stuck and there were about 5 or 6 more cars throughout the ditches that were stuck too. My car wasn't there anymore when we went up there and I found out where my car was towed to. When I went to see the damage my car was totaled. The trunk of my car was in my backseat pretty much. I am done with the crying and being upset since this has been an all day thing and I just wanted to get it off my chest now. Luckily, my daughter wasn't with me and I wasn't hurt (physically). You guys are so nice here and I thought a few words of encouragement would help since your all so good at it.

This happened few months ago...i lost control after a blown tire and hit a house. Later someone rear ended me and my car was totaled

sorry for your car! was it a Toyota Corolla? My ride is also a Corolla and last winter, some kind citizen made this damage to my car, and was away of course. But I didnt have it repaired, just waiting for the next little crash to come on this side of the car

Sorry about the news and hope it doesn't hurt too much $ wise. You can always replace a car....but your family couldn't have replaced you....and your daughter couldn't have replaced her mom! Chin up!

It's funny you say that because my friend said that, my car sat there for 5 hours before they towed it and she said they should have removed it sooner and it wouldn't have happened. I work for attorneys so I am going to find out on Monday if there is anything I can do
