I have just submitted an entry that is very similar to another... The only thing is I had not seen that entry prior to me submitting mine. I'm worried that that will hurt my votes and also credibility on this site. Is this a legitamate concern?

That is part of the strategy. You will notice that all contests will have a high percentage of look-a-likes. The best different ones usually win. Good Luck!

not at all. unless you purposely imitated someone's entry, you don't have to worry. If you made your chop before seeing anybody else's you've got nothing to worry about. As janetdog said, this happens fairly often and then the best entry will usually get the most votes. Smile

Some one, specially if you chop is BETTER than the others, might attack you for being a copy-cat.

If so, just have your layer'd PSD files ready and maybe some choice swear words handy and you'll be fine.

Unless, of course, you ain't got no PSD.

sometimes an opponent may try to kill you (but it rarely occurs, and they can't prove it was me)

I had the stump toilet idea, too, but I didn't have time to put it together. When I saw these entries, I laughed my ass off. I missed the bear crapping in the woods notion entirely. Doh.

I wonder if we're not talking here about half-naked men and sheep. If so, I'm surprised there aren't ten of those, or an even dozen Silence of the Lambs images.
