I beg to differ... OpenOffice sucks badly compared to Office... I HAVE TO use it at work... and only do it because of the HAVE TO....

Illustrator should be yer call Tofu, as splodge mentioned.

Illustrator is for making vector images such as logo's or very useful making labels and stickers.
Indesign and Quark are desktop publishing programs.

Keep in mind that I did say "try"...I've never used it personally.

I've got Open Office. It works well enough. I had to have it until I found my copy of MS Office 2003.
