I think I have an easier way, but I might not even understand the problem properly, anyways:

Make sure 'snap to guides' is selected (view-snap to-guides)
Create your guidelines,
Select the rectangle tool,
Make sure the 'paths' icon is selected (not shape layers or fill pixels - it looks like a little path box with a pen in it)
Draw rectangles making them snap to the guidelines you've already setup.

Once you've done all of them, new layer, then stroke the path with the pencil and you'll have the lines you'll need.

Takes longer to explain than to actually do.

excellent this snap to guides thing is exactly what I needed thanks!! Makes life a lot easier.
Instead of using it with rectangles I 'll use it just with the line tool, effect is the same of course.
Last step, the stroke path, is not what I want, for sake of flexibility I 'll just keep it as a shape layer in solid color.

Adding to what Reinman said: Once I have this shape layer I can indeed convert the perspective of the guides to a more appropriate perspective. making them DIAGONAL.
Okay, I admit, I should have started out with a pespective grid, but I didnt.
Anyway cool!

I suck with paths. Been trying to figure them out for a year now, have tried many tuts, plenty of practice but I just can't get them working for me.
I always end up drawing over my orig path or intersecting or deleting or just simply buggering them up.

So i tend to stroke it if I get it right.

Ive seen a video that shows your loose goose logo as a 3d object. I also want to show logos from organisations/parties Im playing for, but I dont know how to convert them. Is there a simple way to do this?

as with most things in PS... there's a bunch of ways to accomplish the same thing...

Whenever I need guides on a layer (as well as angled guides), I use the line tool set to a few pixels (depending on what size doc Im working on), then you can just drag out a line wherever you need it and if you hold the space bar, you can adjust its position as you make it.
