I was listening to a radio show and one lady called up and asked "What has George Bush done for our country and our people?"<br><br>It was a liberal talk show, so the host just responded by saying: "Exactly".<br><br>But I would like to hear how conservatives would respond to this comment?

Its a real horse race now. The reports (here in Chicago, at least) are saying the candidates are evenly matched in the polls. Very exciting.

Polls are such crap - they said the same evenly matched bullsh<B></B>it here, right up to election day... when the conservatives won by the largest margin in 20 years!! Crap I tells ya!

In what was thought to be similar to Spain, the Australian embassy in our nearest asian-muslim neighbour was flattened by a terrorist bomb just weeks before the election. It had no effect on the result (or if it did, it was te reverse-effect intended!).

I know that in Spain, most people never wanted to be involved in the whole Iraq thing in the first place. Aznar was expected to win despite this, but I think the bombing was the last straw, and a lot of otherwise apathethic citizens voted against him. As the ever wise HTUK pointed out, the Spanish goverment tried to cover up the real reason for the bombing till after the election, but this backfired on them horribly when the truth got out pre-election. People realised how fed up they were with the lies and the decicions being made without their consent. <br><br>Dunno how people in Oz thought of the whole iraq thing (when it started).
