The growth of the site has slowed. The non-anonimity of the contests is not a solution to this. Nor is it to anything other than trying to inject a little fun into the site.

I am curious as to how anonymous voting has helped the site or the members? In reading though this topic, that question has not been definitively answered to me.

If I make the change or not, the site will still be here and function. The majority will adjust as they have before. I am simply responding to many concerns that have been brought to me over the past year as I promised that I would.

I agree, he said it all and sorry fugue and show, I just hate to see someone influence on some votes to spread his own opinion.the poll is made for expressing ourselves...none of us deserve more than a vote to say what we think

Non-anonymous voting helped me considerably. In the dark ages of PSC (before the 15 vote limit), I would vote for about 70% of the images. I would vote based on concept, humor, or improvement. I honestly feel that I received a lot of reciprocal votes. That is to say votes "repaying" my vote(s).

I have to agree with Fuque that removing anonymous voting would change the site to popularitycontest.com. PSC has already been there, let the site move ahead.

My suggestion would be to fix the loopholes in "anonymous voting" as it exists currently.

Let the members vote for the "art" and not the "artiste". (I use both terms very lightly -- tongue in cheek)

I think truly anonymous voting would be a "great leap forward".

Terminator, I would have liked to see more organization in that comment of yours above. I found it hard to read and frankly gave up. You normally have good comments but hopefully you will learn from this show of horrid typing and come back with vengance next time! GOOD LUCK!
