[quote="dunno"]I used adjustment masks as well.

on the face (masked "problematic" parts by color range):
- channel mixer (-5% red)
- photo filter "deep yellow" at 35% density (you might try "deep emerald" for a cooler, more 'pale' look)

then 'on top' for the whole image:
- saturation: master +10, cyans +10 (for the eyes)
- brightness/contrast: both +10

finally clone-stamp, patch and healing some wrinkles away.

psd is available, if it is of any interest.

Thanks everyone, really helpful advice all round Smile I'm gonna experiment with those ideas, I'll post on mondaY. have a great weekend Wink

Geeeeez I hope this isn't REAL sun burn! If it is, what kinda drugs is this guy on to be smiling while enduring that kinda pain? Shocked

I think the smiling keeps him from crying.

First, Make a loose soft selection around the area you want fixed.
Now open "Hue and Saturation". Go to red in the pull down menu.

Now move the top sliders all the way to the right.
This will show you what will be effected. If it effect to much area, then move the bottom color sliders until just the red areas that you want are effected.

Now that you have the correct area selected move the top slider back until you have a pleasing color.

Then you can go into problem areas the same way.

AS for whitening eyes...That's easy. Use the paintbrush. Choose white as the foreground color. The brush should be set to 25% opacity and choose hue from the pull down menu. Paint the whites of the eyes. This will adjust the color. Now change the pull down menu to soft light. Pant the whites of the eyes again, this will brighten them. Don't go crazy. You don't want them to look too bright.
