I copped this same problem as well when I was looking at a tutorial linked from that site.
It did the whole popup thing saying my computer was dying and I needed to download a special program blah blah blah.

From memory, I ended all processes in task manager called 'ave.exe' or 'av.exe' which I knew were related to the trojan.
Then I ran 'Spybot - Search & Destroy' - the BEST spyware removal program out there.

It took two scans to completely get rid of the bug, but now it's gone & everything is back to normal on my pc.

No? Save important stuff and re-install

Yes? Boot with a linux try out dvd and mount the windows drive. Save your stuff and reformat the windows drive with linux disk software.(doesn't ask a whole lotta questions and shouldn't be stalled by a windows issue) Reinstall windows. Make sure to scan pics, mp's, etc before introducing them to the clean windows drive.
