I believe the "difference" is a member vs. spammer.

When a MEMBER posts something they are doing it to share, there is no motive other then FUN. It would be a PITA to have to dig thru to find a thread that was delegated to certain topics unless they were made stickies. when you go to the Forum links page things are divided up by category, but when it hits the home page they are not...

Personally I seldom read the threads anymore because of all the complaining about this that or the other...and now the complaints are about others having fun?

To each their own..Live and let live.

You have a choice to open a thread or not..exercise that right and let ev1 else play..there are alot of bigger issues to focus your energy on in this world.

Just my 1 cents (the dollar fell again) Confused

I agree!!!

Everyone that posts a thread is a member of this site.

The definition of a spammer doesn't take into account their motivations. It's just the outcome that's important and the effect on the community.
Sure there are people who want links to porn and viagra
and there are those who want irrelevant links to hilarious flash games.
At some point, however, many people start finding this stuff disruptive.

Anyway, I was just posing a comparison.

And what's even worse is someone complaining about someone complaining! uggh!

ahhhh live and let live

Yes, Sassy, that's what this is about...
I'm upset at all the fun you're having.

Sometimes I go to movie theaters and yell, "Shut up!", when everyone laughs at a joke.

But anyways, I agree the spam thing.
Why not post all youtube links In a single thread!!!!!!
It wouldnt be that diffucult. Then everybody who wants to could go to the "youtube favorites" thread and watch them.

I bet you do and I can also see you demanding your money back too.... Laughing Laughing

The Main issue here is getting rid of the Spammers that are not ACTIVE Members and the mods seem to do a good job of deleting the topic's pretty quick unlike some sites I have landed on where they sit for months and accumulate now thats scarey!

Another board I use has a 'validating queue' for new members. A new member's very first post goes into this queue and his hidden from view until is is validated by a mod or admin. It's very simple and only applies to the very first post. This board gets no spam whatsoever.

Anytime Cool You Mods do really deserve a BIG KUDO's and a 'validating queue' (if possible) to make your jobs easier,ya can't be everywhere and I know from being behind the scenes on another site how much actually has to be done on a site to keep it sailing...it is not an easy job and sometimes a thankless one so Thanks! Very Happy

and now a word from our sponsors.... Laughing
