No, it's a show about a guy who runs a bakery in Maryland that makes these crazy extreme cakes.

But the competition shows are cool too. I watch practically everything on the food channel.
My bf calls it "lady sports"...

if a guy turns on the tv and there's a football game on, it doesn't really matter which teams are playing, he'll watch it anyway.

if I turn on the tv to the food network, it doesn't really matter which show is on, I'll watch it anyway.

Mad I LOVE FOOD NETWORK. Laughing

Cooking is one of my most favorite things to do. Everything from grilling to crockpot, pancakes to pastries. Alton Brown is my master.

Tell your boyfriend that real men aren't afraid of the kitchen. My testosterone is high enough for me to feel secure. For the record I'm 6'4" and ~250 pounds, a former football player (American football that is where I played tight end, quarterback and linebacker as well as on special teams), I also earned a first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do (and was an instructor in training for a time and even won a gold medal at the Las Vegas Nationals in 1989).

I eat well during the Super Bowl. Twisted Evil

p.s. if the game sucks I switch over to Food Network. Laughing

Simmer down, Tofu, no need to defend your manliness Razz

I think he just meant that I watch the Food Network like most guys watch sports (he can't really talk... he's spent countless hours watching Food Network with me and knows the shows just as well as I do-- in fact, I think he wishes he were Chairman Kaga).

oh, and he refers to Alton Brown as my "little food boyfriend" because I love him. Very Happy
