I work full-time for 3 attorneys, one is an ass, one is just strange, and the other is actually pretty decent (but he has days of being an ass as well). I call them Grumpy, Frumpy, and Lumpy the names are oddly fitting for each Even though they are major pains in my arse, they have gotten me out of some traffic tickets and helped me with a couple car accidents (that weren't my fault).
I am also going to school semi-full time (I am in my second year) to obtain my Graphic Design B.A. degree at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (online).
Besides those two things taking up most of my time, I am a Girl Scout leader and I have been doing freelance design work on the side to gain early experience with clients and to build a portfolio.
On top of all that, I entertain my daughter, boyfriend, family, and friends with my extra time (yes, I do have some of that around, haha). Obviously, I chop too, but not as frequently as I use to. Not enough time in a day to do everything

Anyway I'm a code monkey. I get to trudge through COBOL code, occasionally create/edit ASP pages, work on some VBA applications in Access, sprinkle in some SQL and then occassionally I get to attempt to convert previously said stuff into VB.Net/ADO.Net (not very quickly on that part).
Well.... That's what I do up to July 1st anyway.
After that it's either back to school or working for less pay somewhere else.

I'm like superman eh. Lately, I spend most of my time taking care of the house and my three year old. In between, I paint/remodel houses and fix computers for stupid people. I've also been known to pull electrical circuits and cable/telephone. Sometimes, I fix plumbing for people that can't afford to put a plumbers kid through college. You should see my tool set.
It's a shame that I'm basically lazy, Otherwise, I'd be raking in the bucks. Maybe it's not so much that I'm lazy but, 60 hour weeks are not very conducive to maintaining a stable family. I've been down that road a few times before and all the money in the world will never replace being there. Does anyone know of a 20 hour or less job that will pay 1200 a week? That's what I really need!

Oh good god - someone still uses COBOL????? What's next? FORTRAN? My MOM took those when I was little. They were cool then. Now, I'm guessing they're just a pain in the arse!

A plumber pissed off my dad one - he didn't bother to call back until Sunday on a holiday weekend (with weekend rates), so my dad, who didn't have the time but who was damned sure not going to pay holiday rates for this asshat he called on Monday ) fixed it himself. Until that day, I had no idea that wonder bread had an application in plumbing!

There's some "escort" services you might be interested in.

Hell if we shoot video of Janetdog and Cheryl I'm sure we could make 1200 in 20 minutes.

I work at a print plant for a printing company out of Montreal although I'm on the U.S. side. Basically I'm a "fire putter outer" in the pre-press side of things but work closely with press to proof color match and if your not familiar with that area it's actually pretty exciting. Right now (actually today) I was given an opportunity to get more involved with the making of ICC profiles which will be used on the files we receive to adjust the colors for a better press match. The company is sending 4 of us to Boston to train to do this. The job is pretty much a 7am to 3pm type day but I can get called in at any time since we run 24/7 but for the most part I am able to carry on a "normal" family life and like Janetdog that parts the most important in my life too.
On the side my real love is doing Graphic Design but at the moment I don't have enough consistency with customers to just do that so I do that and my bill paying job. I always felt with all the talent on this site that we should open up our own company for graphic and web design and photo retouching plus writing code...there is a huge variety of talent here. We'd make a killing.

Can we get a database?
That way, we can add stuff. Maybe a chat page?
