Yeah , that is a great song aint it? You can tell when Mike Patton has gotten his hold on somethin. I've always thought he was the better of Faith No More's vocalists. He seemed to more "define" the band.
I'd say "Angel Dust" is my fave of Faith No More's album, esp. the song "RV".

Check out "Mr Bungle" (Mike Patton also) Very Happy Less accessable(by far) than Faith No More, but amazing in their diversity.

Yep, yep and yepper, Paul...real good one, for sure Very Happy Very Happy but ya cant have Folk Implosion without some Sebadoh..now can you? One of the fathers(if not thee fathers) of that "lo-fi" sound.
....one from the "The Sebadoh" album:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHBNGSBOLbY

and then of course you'd need a dose of the grungies of Dinosaur Jr. with your Sebadoh.
J. Mascis is one hell of a guitarist and a bit underrated IMO.

This should be PSC's anthem (for the title anyway) Start Choppin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB8I52lOkZg
What a great song.....and another of Mascis's great melodic solos Very Happy Very Happy

The band I most think of when I hear Arcade Fire is Echo and The Bunnymen...especially their early years......Ocean Rain for example. Ian McCulloch's voice is very similar IMO. They sound to me to take alot of influence from them and also a bit of Roxy Music.

Yes! You're right.
