Personally I find the
"Sorry,I'm out of votes but would vote for this if I had more"
pretty stinking insulting.
Especially *COUGH* when tthe person has spent half their votes on people they vote for every contest,
no matter what they post.
Other comments are great, if they're honest.

I vote for women first....no matter what it looks like...so if your female let me know and you'll get my vote!!!

I've a suggestion for this voting technique , recently i've visited some sites where i could see the voting has been blocked for a particular period . voting starts only after posting all entries.so that good entries will get good votes. but here 80% cast votes in the first couple of hours. it should be changed . we should wait some more time. why cant you vote in the 3rd day?

that makes no stinking sense at all to say something so obviously not true.

Depending on my work load I try to vote like this

10-first day
10-second day
5-encourgment votes last day

But because of my work load of late I seam to use atleast 50% up on the first day, then come back early on the second and blow the rest.

One thing I will do is open all the images before I vote, I have learnt never to reley on the thumbnail...Been caugth out on that myself.

Due to the fact that I live on the West Coast (U.S.A.), don't have advantage and go to work at 6 am and therefore can't chop in a new contest until I get home at night, I believe that I have fallen victim to BWME. That is why I read/replied to this topic. I now leave you , the reader, my thoughts, observations and conclusions, not necessarily in that order but in this case, in that order.

1. If you are out of votes but are compelled to leave a comment, the comment shouldn't be you apologizing that you are out of votes. Tell the person what you liked about their entry. Telling somebody that you would have voted for their entry if you had another vote to give is indirectly telling 25 other people that they might not have deserved your vote after all.

2. Placing all of your votes early is not only short-changing those without advantage but it is also short-changing advantage users who don't pre-post and use the extra time to perfect their entry.

3. Reinman has Martini fixin's and knows how to use them.

If none of this makes sense it's because I have been awake for 23 1/2 hours and have split that time between work, a birthday party and a concert, not necessarily in that order but in this case...
