If yer not seeing a thumbnail view of your PSDs in windows, which is very likely since Adobe deleted it's support frame for thumbnails to force Adobe Bridge on the world, then just click the link.
Keep it simple. Load the prog, then download the DevilPack on the same page, and run that, it will self install into the prog, don't panic when yer desktop refreshes a buncha times real fast. That's the thumbs being updated. Also supports many other image types so expect all those to work now too.

No- I will not be checking back on this thread. If you have a problem or are scared to load the prog then there is something wrong with 'you'...go away.

Here's another alternative solution that will work for some of the folks here.

If you've got Photoshop 7 (and this might work with 6 too), then what you do is reload it. Then uninstall it. PS7 had a windoze thumbnail generator built into it for the windoze system to see in normal file folder browsing. When you uninstall it, it leaves that generator behind and you will see those happy little wee smiley PSD thumbs in your file browser thing.

Much like Scion, I will not be able to help you past this point.

Confused Seems I have a little issue suddenly.....
I get an error message when I view thumbnails of .png files.... Sad
You know....explorer.exe has generated errors blah blah blah Evil or Very Mad
I seem to be ok with .jpg but not with .png..... Rolling Eyes
I'm running W2Kpro.
My husband is using XP (I do not like XP) and has no .png files on his machine...though as soon as he gets busy somewhere else I'll copy some and test.... Wink
Sooooo any idea what's wrong and what I can do to fix it while keeping the thumbnails of Photoshop ??????
Pretty please Smile

Worked good for me. I was a little scared at first because when I would open a new folder that contained effected thumbnails. Windows would crash if there were only a few thumbnails folder would open the next time. If I tried to open a folder that had many PSD thumbnails Windows would crash everytime. Solution (well for me anyway) was like most newly installed program solutions ***REBOOT***
works great now. As far as your PNG file problem well what you do is ah ahh
I got nothin.

Try this it is just a demo but it works good enough for me to see which brushes to keep or delete out of a pack Still looking for a way to view in a normal thumbnail

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad
Well I have had to uninstall the devilpack, it was causing too many problems with my png files....
AND NOW the thumbnails don't display at all for png !!!! Surprised
I guess the file association had been changed by this Twisted Evil pack and it vanished when I uninstalled !

On xp all was fine so the problem is with W2K...
Oh I hate it !
Any of you know how to get my thumbnails back ?
Something to do with the Evil or Very Mad registry I bet... Hate it !
