Photoshop Contest is one part site for Photoshop ninjas, one part site for becoming one. There are contests for people doing cool things with Photoshop, but also a big repository of tutorials and videos.
Since the makers of the tutorials are usually on the site because they know Photoshop inside and out, they often have cool tips for how to take shortcuts and “cheat” an image. Most of the tutorials are pretty basic, though at least for me, there’s nothing basic about any of Photoshop.
The first part sounds good....
The second part...
not so much.
Cool tips on HOW TO TAKE SHORTCUTS, and CHEATS......
...and then it says the Tuts are pretty BASIC.
My first thought was: Maybe i missed something..
..Ya'll been "holding out" on me???......you mean i work my ass off trying to learn this PS program...and the whole time, ya'll had SHORTCUTS....AND CHEATS.
I HATE EVERYONE...
(
not really)
Then i had another thought...(
I was shocked as well)...To say you can get cool tips is one thing.....but to say they are cool tips on Shortcuts and cheats. To me that is sort of insulting to our "PRO" group. I came here and did not know Jack about PS. While i may not be the most Artistic in my use of PS. I worked hard to learn what i have, and am thankful for the help i got along the way. At No time have i been told about a shortcut or a way to CHEAT. I have been Encouraged to learn the pen tool, to make my own brushes and not use PRE-fabbed downloaded ones, to use Shadows, Hi-lites, reflections, tones, colors, lighting. If anything this site has taught me not to take shortcuts...and to not rely on filters or cheats to get my end results. DAMN IT, we don't CHEAT at PSC.
Then again....Maybe the site just IMPRESSED me more than him....
