I am curious as to how many ppl here also do art in traditional materials (paper, canvas, pencil, paint, ink, etc)

and what medium you like best.
Feel free to post pix

I go thru phases, i like ppaint/canvas, pencil/paper.
right now i have been using watercolor pencils, which you can use is a few different ways.

My stuff, if looked back upon in 40 years, would be called Rondos blue period lol
I use alot of black, blue and purple.

I also like to be unconventional, i will use teh traditoonal paint brushed when painitng, but i will also use my fingers, washclothes, paper towels, and who knows what else i might grab for the effect i am seeking. I have also incorperated craft t-shirt paint into a traditional painting i made for a friend because i wasnted something that sparkled/reflected light under a few thin layers of color. Marc chagall is my all time fave artist, and the freak in me loves keith Herring and kandinsky lol

I have been drawing alot lately.
I also like to draw unique floor plans for houses, and on occasion will design an articl of clothing. (i have designed and sewen clothing for myself since i was a kid here and there)

For me art, in whatever form, is a driving force that demands to be released. Same thing happenes when i write poetry and stories. (i have a screenplay i have had in my head for years, that i swear was writing itself along the way in my head, i had started it (prior to my divorce, but for some reason have writers block since the split, i have been just in the last couple of weeks started to think about it again, but its changed, i guess because i have changed)
So tell us... show us... What does your soul pour out thru your fingers
