does anyone know how I can find out if a law office is really who they say they are??? Im getting some telephone calls from a company called The Brachfield Law Group... anyone ever heard of them? Or can help me out with finding information about them!

Seems it's a Texas based firm, dealing primarily with debt collection.

That much I knew, but something does not seem right about them...

Several months ago they were calling me constantly. Each time they were looking for information about my brother in law who lives over 2,000 miles away. Seems they do skip tracing.

Finally told them to put me on their do not call list and that if they called me again I would pursue the legally mandated compensation. Haven't heard from them since.

Usually these scumbags are making long distance call$, I had an ex-room-mate that was late with his car payment, the prick gave them my phone #, over 2 years later they did not believe me when I said the idiot no longer lived here, so first I got Privacy detector, my phone will not even ring if they try to call with a nameless #, and if they do, I say hang on a minute, let me go get him, and I'd leave the phone off the hook until they hung up, its been almost a year and no more calls.
