I recently took on a job that I should have told the guy NOWAY,
but me being hungry and needing work said ok.
Here is the original and only image the client could get me.

Yes this is the exact photo that was sent to me.

Here is what I was able to do with it.

I thought it looked fine for what was given to me.

Now he is wanting to do more vans but wants it clearer Higher Resolution.

I have tried every trick in the book.
The only thing I can think of now is to make a vector of the Wolf, however I suck at vector art.
If anyone wants to attempt this please PM me with a quote and time frame.
I can pay via paypal.

If anyone has other suggestions I would love to hear them.

This website is pretty good at converting bitmaps to vectors:
http://vectormagic.com/home
Not as good as doing it by hand, but definitely worth a try.

Ok I guess for a quickie this might could be cleaned up, but I think I will see what our local pros can do.

ok I guess that didn't work out.
I just used that site to convert a picture of Alfred E. Newman for a team logo and it worked wonders.
If you convince the client to change the company name to "Alfred E. Newman Auto Glass", I can totally hook you up.

Trying to Vectorize this low res image failed. It came out looking horrible.

However, there is another trick to taking a low resolution crappy image out of hell and bring it up to a larger more respectable image and size. That is to enlarge it, paint it and then vectorize it. Smile

Hi Jerry!

Have you tried to draw it by hand on paper?
When you're not good at vector work, this can also be a way.
The original doesn't look like vector work anyways.

You can even make it easier for yourself and print out (scaled up) on a piece of paper and just trace it by hand. Scan it in as large as possible and then do the color work again in PS. This way you'll have a high res image Wink

So you mean like this?

looks like a good job to improve you illustrator skills.

Mainly you'll need "blend" blending two paths with different colors together to get the smooth edges. Just did some quick work so at the end you'll be able to get a better result.

An other point will be if your client has the copyright for the source your using. If not I'ld try to make some changes so it becomes a unique artwork.

Cheers BL
