Sometimes what makes the image good is the idea.
It's up to the viewer. Some people here are not as skilled in PS as others but their brilliant minds put them over the top. Something childish and funny can be brilliant too. This is not an "Art" site. It is a Photoshop site. Originally PS was created for photographers. They would use it to touch up their images or create compelling compositions. Some use it for beauty, some use it to shock. Some to get a laugh. Some use it to tell a story. Only recently did it become an artists tool. We are a mixed bunch here. Artist, Photographers, Illustrators, Jokers, Thinkers. We all have a place. Some of us are all of these depending on what day it is. the voting in the end will pick the image that effects us most. We can all learn from that too. Maybe the next time we are creating a work of art, we may throw a pig's butthole in there for a little comedic relief.

In my opinion, a good image is before anything else a good idea. Before anything else, I'm here to be entertained... I prefer something funny... and if the idea of this funny chop is great, & the execution is great too... this is the best image I can enjoy.

i guess it could be anything really, my personal taste goesy for ps skills involved (we are a photoshop website after all), artistic view, composition, idea not necessarily in that order. I love your new avatar Claude!!

If you make me laugh I am yours forever. Now that could be very scary as I could show up on your door step. This will not increase your food bill, but your beer budget might take a hit.

The most amazing thing to me on this sight is how many people see the same image in different ways. I always say to my self " Why didn't you think of that?" Then once in a while there is a consensus of ideas which also blows me away.
