Ok i shall post a tutorial on how he did it lol

first he set up a box around some flower at night.. The box covered the flower on 3 sides and was covered in most likely aluminum foil.... then he put a flashlight near the box at an angle to make the lighting seem surreal..

but the biggest factor in this guys PWNZING of grfx artist is
he has a NICE CAMERA.... and lots of film... and a couple tripods.... and spikey hair and no chin

I am very sure he took like 700 shots to get those 3 of the flower.... and I am fairly sure he did some level, hue and sat, maybe curves work in PS or chemically..

OK..for some reason the picture will not load for me but if I read it right it’s a pic of a drop of water…which means extreme magnification…which means shallow depth of field…IE a very soft focus everywhere but at the exact point of focus.

What would you need photoshop for??
ok, first i thougt that the pic was photoshoped, cuz the water drops looked too glassy, but then i went on google and looked at works of other people who used Olympus Camera C-750UZ.....and apparently that camera has a 10X zoom, and works of other people using that camera looked similar to these 2 works, so i guess there was no photoshoping

links to some photos taken with that camera:
http://galerie.digitalkamera.de/showphoto.php?photo=1931&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=502
http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/display/1730848
