My dad was actually in the army with Elvis. They were stationed in Germany.
If you ever saw the movie " G.I. Blues " he has his actual army uniform on.
My dad used to get Christmas cards from him. They were stamped " from Elvis and The Colonel ".
He probably sent the same ones to his entire platoon.
This is the same uniform he and my father wore in the army.
I believe it was the 32 armoured division.

So G.I. Blues is my fav. But his 68 comeback show was awesome when he and the boys
were in the round playing accoustics and drumming on guitar cases.
That's a cool story Rey! Do you have one of those Christmas cards?
The Colonel (Parker) was actually from my hometown; Breda (real name Dries van Kuijk)...
There is a Elvis Musical in Holland now, called "All Shook Up"...and last year
there was a tv show about finding the new Elvis, so he is still among us after all those years!
